Exploring Past Lives: A Journey Through Time

The concept of past lives challenges our understanding of identity and existence. Many spiritual and religious beliefs suggest that prior to our current existence, we may have played different roles in previous lifetimes. Curious about what we might have been in our past lives, we can look into our current traits and qualities for clues. In this article, we will explore the idea of past lives, the significance of our qualities in current life, and the role of human intellect in our spiritual journey.

Understanding the Allegation of Past Lives

Animals, it is often said, do not interact much with humans, leading to the belief that no human could have been any of these animals in a past life. For instance, if you aren't a dolphin, cat, eagle, or other such creatures, it's reasonable to conclude that you were part of the human family, specifically the ape family. Our bodies are naturally built to follow instinct and survival, with reproduction as the primary requirement.

Throughout our past lives, we can take on a variety of roles such as farmers, midwives, soldiers, sailors, merchants, and even slaves, all contributing to the diverse tapestry of human experiences. These roles often involve moving goods and people by water, which has historically been the cheapest and fastest mode of transport. This includes positions such as goldsmiths, blacksmiths, weavers, and chair makers, each bringing a unique set of skills and experiences to the table.

Embracing Our Inner Nature: Personal Traits and Past Lives

The spiritual leader I follow, a Lama, believes that to understand your past life, you should look into the qualities and personality traits that you brought with you into this life. It doesn't matter what profession you had – whether you were a butcher, baker, or candlestick maker. What truly matters is 'who you are inside'. These habits and traits are likely to be carried forward into your next life, shaping your personality and actions.

The Human Intellect as a Learning Platform

Our soular mind and intellect are far more intelligent than our human minds suggest. In essence, the human intellect is a dumbed-down version of our spiritual consciousness. Humans are designed to coexist with souls, acting as platforms for spiritual growth and learning. Our lives on Earth serve as a rapid pathway to spiritual development, allowing us to gain knowledge and experience at an accelerated rate compared to other forms of life.

The Limitations of Animal Intellect

Comparing animal intellect to human intellect, we can see that animals have a barely measurable level of intelligence. If humans were to merge with animals, it would be difficult for us to learn effectively, rendering our lives a waste. Thus, the unique human consciousness, including our intellect and abilities to learn and grow spiritually, sets us apart and makes us essential.

Exploring past lives not only deepens our understanding of our personal journey but also highlights the interconnectedness of all living beings. Understanding the significance of traits and personality in our current life and the role of the human intellect in spiritual growth can help us on our path to enlightenment and self-discovery.
